The European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) is the largest professional community of anaesthesiologists in Europe. The organisation strives to promote the professional role of the anaesthesiologist and intensivist, maintain the highest standards of practice and patient safety, and foster an exchange of information by providing educational tools, research support and networking opportunities to members, colleagues, and partners.
We are looking for a Communication Intern who will support the Marketing and Communication Department and report to the Communications & Marketing Manager. The Marketing and Communication department coordinates all communication and marketing activities of the ESAIC.
What will you do? Key responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Facilitate the design and maintenance of the ESAIC website based on objectives set forth by the communication team.
- Gather and communicate feedback from different departments regarding needs, perceptions, and general comments
- Meet with different departments to discuss project objectives and create website designs and pages to meet those objectives using our WordPress CMS.
- Communicate with a wide variety of skill sets, including management as well as technical and other creative resources.
- Monitor the team project timeline and respond to projects and tasks as assigned.
- Contribute to the overall communications and marketing effort to build, enhance and protect the firm’s image through strategic initiatives that reach internal and external stakeholders.
- Train different departments on how to make simple updates to their website
- Make edits to webpages as needed/requested by various departments and committees.
- Creating communication media: presentations, posters, flyers…
- Spreading those media to the targeted audience.
- Management of digital communication channels: social media, emails…
- Follow-up of the media plan.
Qualifications
- Student working towards a Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Communication, Computer Science, Information Sciences and Technology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, HTML and CSS.
- Good knowledge of Adobe creative suite – particularly Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and XD.
- Strong project management skills, including prioritising and handling multiple tasks to meet multiple competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding communication skills and excellent knowledge of oral and written English
- Highly organised and enthusiastic team player
- Able to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines but always keeping great attention to details
- Ability to use sound judgement, initiative, tact and diplomacy when handling challenging situations
