The European Society of Anaesthesiologists and Intensive Care (ESAIC) is the leading organisation representing anaesthesiology and intensive care trainees across Europe. We are dedicated to advancing the field of anaesthesiology and intensive care, providing educational opportunities, and promoting collaboration among professionals. As part of our commitment to empower the next generations of anaesthesiologists and intensivists, we are happy to introduce a new initiative: The European Trainee Ambassadors Program.
The European Trainee Ambassadors will serve as advocates for trainees, helping to bridge the gap between trainees and the society. They will play a crucial role in advancing the interests of trainees, addressing their concerns, and promoting collaboration among anaesthesiology and intensive care professionals. They will be selected to represent the ESAIC in their respective European countries and act as a link for a 2-year period, with the possibility of reapplying.
Benefits of being a European Trainee Ambassador:
- Skill Development: Opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through active engagement with the ESAIC Trainee Network by representing your peers. Gain experience in project management, event planning and public speaking.
- Professional networking: Connect with fellow trainees, experienced anaesthesiologists, intensivists, leading experts, as well as industry professionals. Build a robust network that can aid in career advancement and mentorship opportunities.
- Access to Resources: Be the first to hear and gain exclusive access to events, workshops, EDAIC courses and more events run by the ESAIC. Stay updated with the latest research, technologies and best practices in anaesthesia and intensive care.
- Advocacy Platform: Act as a voice for your country’s anaesthesiology and intensive care trainees, influencing policy and decision-making processes within ESAIC. Contribute to the development and improvement of training programs and professional standards.
- Recognition and career boost: By participating in the ETA program, you will receive a certificate and have the opportunity to significantly enhance your CV and portfolio. Moreover, it will open doors to future opportunities within professional organisations and healthcare institutions.
- Global perspective: Gain insights into the practices and challenges of anaesthesiology and intensive care differences worldwide and collaborate with international counterparts to shape the future of anaesthesiology and intensive care training.
