Patient Safety for National Societies
About
The ESAIC started a robust long-term collaboration with the National Societies of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care by implementing a ‘cascade model’ with the scope of ‘implanting’ the Safer Care to Save Life curriculum locally, disseminating knowledge and start a dialogue with local Health Authorities to build a safer national health system.
The ‘cascade model’ consists in offering the National Societies training (Advanced Patient Safety Course and online Train-The-Trainer Online Sessions) and training materials (Trainer and Student Manuals) to facilitate the organisation of courses at a national level and in the local language.
Training, tutoring, and training materials for selected National trainers are subject to a one-time fee paid by the National Societies (€5,000; €3,000 for Lower Upper-middle-income Countries and Countries with lower than 1,000 inhabitants and preferred registration fees for future national Trainers).
