About the BCSAC

The Basic and Clinical Sciences Anaesthetic Course (BCSAC) is intended as one of the tools suitable for preparing the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care by improving the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of different areas of basic and clinical sciences. It is open to everyone, and there are no prerequisites to attend the course.

The BCSAC is officially organised by the ESAIC and all the speakers have years of experience in teaching and examination. Over 90% of attendees of the last 3 years were happy to attend the course and 97% would recommend it to a colleague.

The BCSAC 2025 will be held online on 13-15 and  20-22 June 2025. It will be a fully virtual course, and lectures will remain available online for three months after the live event.

Participants can choose between live, on demand or both to obtain the Certificate of Attendance and CME credits. They will receive the number of CME credits corresponding to the number of lectures watched either live or on-demand thanks to the intelligent tracking system.

Candidates will also have the opportunity to take a test of knowledge before and after the course to gauge their progress.

Each participant must provide a valid and personal e-mail address.

Who can attend BCSAC?

Anyone can attend – there are no prerequisites. ESAIC Members and non-Members can participate in the BCSAC.
