Call for centres: Join the ESAIC Clinical Trial Network!
The ESAIC Clinical Trials Network (CTN) was established in 2010 to facilitate, integrate and support clinical anaesthesiology research on an international level. The ESAIC CTN provides an infrastructure for institutions, clinicians and scientists allowing them to work collaboratively across international borders to improve the care of patients in the fields of anaesthesiology, intensive care, perioperative medicine, emergency medicine and pain medicine. International networks all over the world have demonstrated the advantages of collaboration to address and answer clinically relevant research questions.
Since 2010, 10 studies have been published, 2 studies are in the submission process and 5 are ongoing. These studies involved more than 500 centres in 60 countries, with more than 130.000 patients recruited.
In 2020, two new studies were selected: MOPED and ENCORE
The most important and challenging clinical questions are more likely to be answered by several centres joining forces! A call for centres is now open for 4 studies:
- MOPED: Management and Outcomes of Perioperative Care among European Diabetic Patients.
- ENCORE: Effects of aNaesthesia in COloREctal cancer outcome trial.
- ARCTIC-I: Anaesthesiological routine care in cerebral ischaemia
- SQUEEZE: Post-operative vasopressor usage
Eligibility
The ESAIC CTN is open to all clinicians meeting study protocol criteria. Centres may participate in several studies.
Join us!
Would your hospital like to join one or several of the CTN studies as an actively contributing research centre?
If so, please complete the ‘Call for Centres form’ which is available here: https://www.esaic.org/research/clinical-trial-network/call-for-centres/
The completion of this form will facilitate coordination and is mandatory for participation in CTN trials. The ESAIC Research Team will then send you additional information.
