Partnerships

The ESAIC works in collaboration with industry, national societies, and specialist societies to promote advancements in anaesthesia and intensive care. The Industry Partnership offers visibility and engagement opportunities for industry participants with ESAIC members, facilitating understanding of specific needs in anaesthesiology and in intensive care. This partnership provides resources for education and avenues for collaborative projects enhancing science, education, and patient safety. The Specialist Societies contribute to high-quality educational opportunities for European anaesthesiologists and intensivists, fostering discussion and sharing, while the National Societies, through NASC, maintain standards, promote events and courses, and facilitate connections. All partnerships collectively drive dialogue, learning, and growth in the anaesthesiology and intensive care sector.

Connecting, Learning, and Growing

The ESAIC Trainee Programme at Euroanaesthesia 2025

The Euroanaesthesia Congress 2025 is an exciting opportunity for young anaesthesiologists to grow professionally, explore the latest trends in training and research, and connect with colleagues and experts from all over the field. This year is extra special as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ESAIC Trainee Committee! As always, we’ve put together a fantastic programme, including workshops, engaging sessions, and a vibrant ESAIC booth. Whether you’re looking to develop professionally, dive into cutting-edge science, discover new learning strategies, or focus on personal well-being, there’s something for you.

One of this year’s key focuses is supporting trainees throughout their residency and beyond. Our session ‘Residency +: How to Cope with Factors Influencing Your Residency’ will explore ways to make the most of your training through extracurricular activities, mentorship, and research involvement. We’ll also talk about managing stress, avoiding unhealthy coping mechanisms, and building strong peer support networks to help you thrive in the fast-paced world of anaesthesia. Plus, we’ll discuss workforce dynamics, the evolving landscape of anaesthesia education, and how to ensure a sustainable and rewarding career in the field.

If you’re interested in research and academic growth, we’ve got dedicated sessions just for you! ‘Publishing – Tips for Trainees’ will walk you through the submission process, how to pick the right journal, and how to maximise the impact of your research. We’ll also explore clinical vs. preclinical research to help you figure out which path best suits your goals. And, of course, there will be networking opportunities with academic anaesthesia experts who can share their experiences, funding tips, and advice on collaborative projects.

The world of anaesthesiology education is changing fast, with technology playing a huge role. Our ‘Revolutionizing Education’ session will dive into the latest innovations, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and simulation-based training. We’ll also look at how skills-based training, adaptive learning, and new assessment methods can better prepare you for independent clinical practice.

We know how valuable open discussions and networking are, so we’ve included plenty of interactive sessions. The ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions give you a chance to chat with experienced anaesthesiologists and educators about residency, career paths, and industry trends. You can also meet the Trainee Committee during our ‘Meet the ESAIC Trainees Committee’ session or test your knowledge in the ‘Trainee Quiz’! And don’t miss our special networking event near the congress center on Sunday evening—a perfect chance to unwind and make new connections in a relaxed setting.

We warmly invite all trainees to join us, share ideas, learn from experts, and meet like-minded peers. This is your chance to gain fresh insights and be part of an amazing community—see you at Euroanaesthesia 2025!
