EJAIC now indexed in PubMed Central
A major milestone for ESAIC’s official Open source journal
The European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) is pleased to announce that the European Journal of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EJAIC) is now indexed in PubMed Central (PMC). This is a significant achievement for the Journal, reinforcing its position as a key platform for high-quality research in anaesthesia, intensive care, perioperative medicine, pain medicine, and critical emergency care.
Inclusion in PMC is a crucial step in increasing the visibility and accessibility of the Journal. PMC is one of the most recognised and widely used indexing platforms for medical research, ensuring that EJAIC’s published content reaches a broader international audience. All content from Volume 1, Issue 1 onwards is now available on PMC, providing increased discoverability and citation opportunities for our authors.
EJAIC is the official Gold Open Access journal of ESAIC, ensuring that research is freely accessible to all. It is also indexed in leading databases such as Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The Journal offers a rapid peer review process, with all submissions undergoing initial triage by the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editors-in-Chief to ensure a streamlined review experience. Additionally, all submissions benefit from free Language & Technical Editing services, enhancing the accuracy, clarity, and impact of the research.
We invite researchers to submit their high-quality work to EJAIC. With enhanced indexing and visibility, their research will reach a wider audience and have a greater impact on the field.
Manuscripts can be submitted via www.editorialmanager.com/ejaic.

We look forward to seeing new contributions and continuing to support high-quality anaesthesia and intensive care research.
