European Journal of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EJAIC) celebrates two major indexing achievements

The European Journal of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EJAIC) is proud to announce two significant milestones in its journey to enhance academic visibility and impact: acceptance into both the Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

EJAIC accepted into Scopus

In a major recognition of the journal’s quality and relevance, EJAIC has been officially accepted for indexing in Scopus, one of the world’s most prestigious abstract and citation databases. Scopus is renowned for its role in helping academic institutions and researchers assess the quality and reach of scholarly publications.

Launched in 2022, EJAIC has already made a strong impression, publishing around 20 high-quality articles per year and accumulating approximately 50 citations to date. The journal’s acceptance into Scopus further validates its growing impact and commitment to academic excellence.

EJAIC now indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

In another significant achievement, EJAIC has also been accepted for inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). DOAJ is a global index that promotes free access to high-quality, peer-reviewed research. Indexing in DOAJ is a mark of compliance with the highest standards in open access publishing, and it ensures that EJAIC’s content will reach a broader audience worldwide.

Inclusion in DOAJ is especially important for European authors, as it aligns EJAIC with Plan S, a key initiative aimed at making research funded by public grants freely available to all.

What these achievements mean for EJAIC

Indexing in both Scopus and DOAJ represents a major step forward in the development of EJAIC. These recognitions highlight the journal’s dedication to publishing impactful research in the fields of anaesthesiology and intensive care, while ensuring that this knowledge is accessible to a global audience.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work of the journal’s authors, reviewers, and editorial team and will significantly enhance the journal’s visibility, credibility, and overall impact within the anaesthesiology and intensive care community.

Looking Ahead

EJAIC will continue to uphold its commitment to high editorial standards and to advancing knowledge in anaesthesiology and intensive care. With these recent successes, the journal is poised to play an even more prominent role in the global research landscape.
